Concrete Repair

Every year more and more buildings are constructed within 50 kilometres of the seaboard and combined with the corrosive atmosphere and fast track building practice, plus lack of external protection several aspects of deterioration are experienced, such as concrete spalling (concrete cancer) in exposed slab edges; beams columns etc.

Concrete spalls for a variety of reasons.  These are:-

  • carbon dioxide and sulphide attack
  • presence of chlorides in the concrete
  • a low standard of compaction techniques
  • the reinforcing steel not having sufficient concrete cover

Repair techniques vary depending on the size of the spall, whether it's occurred on the surface only, or if it's structural.  Regardless of the extent or type of the repair, Concrete Seal Waterproofing Pty Ltd will inspect and provide a solution to your problem.  A second opinion from a qualified structural Engineer and Product Manufacturer will be sought if warranted.
