Waterproofing is the application of an impervious barrier to surfaces to stop water penetrating from localised areas into other parts of the building where damage can occur. These are either internal (toilets, bathrooms, en-suites, laundies etc) or external areas (planters, podiums, retaining walls etc). In addition they can be flat concrete.
